How to Register 
To complete your registration, click the "Register Now" button above. Registration is only accepted online. Full payment is required to complete your registration and is accepted by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express during the online registration process.

There are no restrictions on sources of funding for participation in the conference.

Registration Rates with Member Discount

- Tier 1 (annual income above $75,000 -or- with institutional funding): $295.00*
- Tier 2 (annual income $50,001-$75,000): $245.00*

WiG Membership Policy
WiG membership is not required for conference registration or participation. There are discounted registration fees for members. To register with a member discount, join or renew your membership before November 6, 2025. 

Payment Policy
Payment is accepted via our online payment gateway by Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express credit or debit card. Cancellation Policy

On-Campus Lodging: Hotel UMass
$179 - $229 per room, per night (plus applicable fees)
Seated in the center of the picturesque UMass Amherst campus, Hotel UMass blends a tranquil countryside escape with the bustling energy of campus life, making it your ideal destination when staying in the area. Located in the Campus Center just an elevator ride from meeting spaces and amenities, including the University Store and several dining options, Hotel UMass offers unbeatable convenience for a discounted conference rate of $179.00 per night Sunday -Thursday; Add Saturday or Friday to your stay for $229.00/night (plus applicable fees, currently 6% plus $1.00 per room, per night).

Space fills fast and this discounted rate will expire on October 8 , 2025, so early reservations are strongly encouraged. To complete a reservation, click on www.hotelumass.com. You will be directed to the Coalition of Women in German Annual Conference hotel room reservation page. The default arrival date is November 5 for those arriving early for the leadership meeting. If you will arrive for the start of the conference program, you can change the arrival date to November 6 (or to another date if you will arrive later). Enter the number of nights, number of guests and click on "Book Now". A new page will load, and you will get a list of rooms available for you to select from with the discounted rate already applied. Click on "Book Now" to select your room, a new window will open to put in all your information and take your payment. Note: reservations are available online only. If you call to complete a reservation you will be directed to book online. However, if you wish to stay outside of the dates reserved by the conference, please call the hotel front desk for further assistance (413-549-6000).

Note: payment for your stay at Hotel UMass must be made separately from your registration payment.


Area Lodging
The Amherst area is full of many hotels, motels and bed & breakfasts. Neighboring Hadley has many large chain hotels located a short 5-to-10-minute drive from the UMass campus on Russell Street/Route 9, including a Holiday Inn, Howard Johnson's, Comfort Inn, Homewood Suites by Hilton and Courtyard Marriott. Amherst itself is dotted with numerous inns and B&B's, such as the Inn on Boltwood, the Black Walnut Inn, and the Allen House, offering a taste of local Pioneer Valley living. Conference Location
The Coalition of Women in German Annual Conference is being held at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Murray D. Lincoln Campus Center located at 91 Campus Center Way, Amherst MA 01003. Click here to obtain turn-by-turn directions from your location.  


Parking
Discounted Parking is available in the Campus Center Parking Garage, located at 91 Campus Center Way in Amherst, MA 01003 (clearance 7' 2"). Click here to obtain directions to the garage from your location. Campus Center Way is located off of Commonwealth Avenue, across the street from the Mullins Center. After turning onto Campus Center Way proceed up the hill to enter the garage. A covered hallway connects the Parking Garage and Campus Center on Level 2, or you may park on any level and utilize the southeast or northeast stairways to gain access to outdoor campus walkways. An email with the discounted parking coupon code, will be provided prior to the event. Once you enter the parking garage, your license plate will be recorded. After parking, please head to one of the garage pay station to enter in your license plate number and the number of hours you plan to stay. Choose "Yes" to enter a coupon code that was provided, and insert your credit card to pay. You can also enter your cell phone number to get a reminder text and extend your time if needed. Please note you will have 20 minutes to enter your information and license plate number into the parking system before you are in violation

Hotel Guest Parking

If you are staying at Hotel UMass, please go directly to the hotel front desk (3rd floor) once you park - be sure to bring your license plate information. While you can't yet check into your hotel room until after 3pm, the hotel staff will enter your license plate detail into the parking database.  This will take care of your parking for the duration of your stay. You will be able to drive in and out of garage without doing anything further through the day you check out. Please note you will have 20 minutes to get to the hotel front desk provide your information and license plate number into the parking database before you are in violation.

From the North
From I-91 South, take exit 36 in Deerfield. At the end of the ramp, turn left and follow the road to the intersection. Turn right onto Routes 5 & 10 South. Go 1 mile, then turn left onto Route 116 South. Follow 8 miles to the UMass exit. 

From the East
Via Route 2 West to Exit 71 (Belchertown/Amherst). From Route 2 take Route 202 South for about 15 miles to a blinking yellow light at Amherst Road. (You will see signs "to Rt 9 and Rt 116"). Turn right and follow Amherst Road (becomes Pelham Road after about 4 miles) for 7 miles to Amherst center. Follow signs to UMass. 

From the South
From I-91 North, take Exit 25 in Northampton. From the exit ramp, turn right onto Route 9. Travel approximately 4.5 miles to Route 116 North (turn left at traffic lights). The UMass exit is 1 mile up. 

From the West
From Route 2 East, follow to Greenfield/I-91 exit. Take I-91 South to Exit 36, Deerfield. At the end of the ramp turn left and follow the road to the intersection. Turn right onto Routes 5 & 10 South. Go 1 mile, then turn left onto Route 116 South. Follow for 8 miles to the UMass exit. 

From I-90 (Mass Pike)
If you are a first-time visitor and traveling from the east or west on I-90 (Mass Pike), we recommend avoiding Exit 63 off of the Mass Pike, and instead following the directions to Exit 45 listed below. 

Take Exit 45 (West Springfield). Follow I-91 North to Exit 25. From the exit ramp, turn right onto Route 9. Travel approximately 4.5 miles to Route 116 North (turn left at traffic lights). The UMass exit is 1 mile up.

Dining Commons
Served all-you-care-to-eat style, breakfast, lunch and dinner will be available from 7AM - 8PM each day in our award winning Dining Commons (note exact hours for the summer are still being determined). At each meal you will find a variety of cuisines, often including sushi, pho noodles, create-your-own stir-fry, pizza, dim sum brunch, pasta and salad bars, deli sandwiches, American fare, Halal dining, vegan and vegetarian options, a range of desserts, ice cream, and more. The Blue Wall, located in the Campus Center, is one of the most popular and convenient dining options on campus. The Blue Wall has 10 different stations served a-la-carte. Offerings include pizza, salads, wraps, deli sandwiches, sushi, burgers, burritos, gelato, and more, ensuring that the Blue Wall has something to satisfy every craving. Harvest Market, located on the main concourse of the Campus Center, is a full service market serving healthy, sustainable, and delicious fare for our on the go customers. The hot bar often features Indian, Ethiopian, traditional American, and many other world cuisines, and the salad bar is always stocked with in-season ingredients and freshly prepared composed salads. Dining: Off-Campus
Looking to head off-campus for a meal? There are so many wonderful and convenient options! Downtown Amherst, located about a 5 minute drive/20 minute walk from campus, has many unique restaurants, with fare ranging from Thai, Chinese, Italian, American, Indian and more. Some longstanding downtown favorites include Antonio's pizza by the slice, Bueno Y Sano, and Johnny's Tavern. About 5 minutes in the other direction, heading down University Drive, you will find some more popular local spots including The Hangar Pub and Grill and Ginger Garden. Travel just a bit further (7 - 10 minutes from campus) and you will reach the Route 9/Russell Street area of Hadley, which is replete with familiar chains and fast-food spots including Friendly's, Panara, Chili's, Wendy's, Chipotle, Texas Roadhouse and more. Have a little more time on your hands? Visit downtown Northampton, about a 25 minute drive from campus, to explore the many restaurants and shops that make up this artistic, academic and countercultural hub. If you find you need to visit a grocery store, large retail store, or pharmacy during your stay, numerous options are located 5 - 10 minutes from campus in downtown Amherst, as well as on University Drive in Amherst and Russell Street (also known as Route 9) in neighboring Hadley. These locations are also serviced by PVTA buses.

Downtown Amherst - Amherst Shopping Center - retail/grocery stores and dining, including Big Y, Dunkin Donuts, CVS and Goodwill. Located at 181 University Drive in Amherst, MA.

Hampshire Mall - retail/grocery stores, dining, and entertainment, including Target, Trader Joe's, J. C. Penney, Cinemark, Pinz Bowling, Interskate 91, LaserBlast, and Planet Fitness Gym. Located at 367 Russell Street in Hadley, MA.
