Come build solidarity and strengthen the resistance! ¡Ven a construir la solidaridad y a fortalecer la resistencia!
Join women leaders and activists from labor unions and worker organizations throughout the Northeast for this comprehensive, bi-lingual (Spanish and English) four-day leadership institute. Participate in skills building workshops, cultural activities, political action and education sessions designed to expand our understanding of solidarity and deepen our ability to resist oppression. Summer school instructors are officers, staff, and labor educators from unions, community organizations and universities.

The cost to attend is $560: includes tuition, materials, meals, and dorm housing in suites of four singles and two bathrooms. Commuter cost is $300: includes tuition, materials, and lunch and dinner each day. Registrations cancelled prior to July 14 will be charged a $60 cancellation fee. Registrations cancelled after July 14 will not be refunded at all. Payment is accepted in full online by credit/debit card, or you can select to have us bill your organization. Payment must be received in full by July 7 to avoid an additional $40.00 late fee.
El costo para asistir es de $560: incluye matrícula, materiales, comidas y dormitorios en suites de cuatro recamaras y dos baños. El costo para viajera suburbana es de $ 300: incluye matrícula, materiales, almuerzo y cena cada día. A limited number of partial scholarships are available for women whose unions or organizations do not offer sufficient financial support to attend. Location and Travel
The summer school will be held at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Sessions on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be held in a variety of meeting rooms located on the 1st, 8th and 9th floors of the Campus Center. Meals will be held in the Campus Center and Franklin Dining Commons. On-campus lodging is available in North Residence A. The Campus Center and attached Campus Center Parking Garage are located at 1 Campus Center Way, Amherst MA 01003. The Franklin Dining Commons is located at 260 Stockbridge Road, Amherst MA 01003. The North Residence A is located at 56 Eastman Lane, Amherst MA 01003. Click here to view a campus map.
Discounted $6.50/day parking is available in the Campus Center Parking Garage (click here for directions). For on-campus residence hall guests, complimentary parking is available in Lot 44, the large surface lot located next to the North Residential Area (click here for directions). The area is serviced by Greyhound and Peter Pan bus lines, as well as a variety of transportation services including Valley Transporter and Seemo Shuttle.
