Welcome to Juniper Young Writers Online (JYWO)!

How to Enroll

Welcome to the 2021 Juniper Young Writers Online program! Click Register Now above to begin the enrollment process. You will first need to login to Iris Registration, our online registration system. If you've attended Juniper previously, you can use the same username and password to login, as long as you have used it in the last 18 months. After 18 months of inactivity accounts are removed, so if you have not used your account in the last 18 months you can go ahead and create a new one! If this is your first time attending a Juniper program, click the "Sign Up" button to create an account using your email address and a password of your choice, or select the option to sign in using an external account such as Facebook or Google. Remember your username and password: if you do not pay your full balance due now, you will need this information to log back in to pay any remaining fees before the payment deadline.

After logging in you will be brought through the enrollment form. During enrollment you will be prompted to enter contact details for yourself and your parent/guardian, as well as your preferred program and technology access.

Programming

Summer Online Writing Packages offer poets and writers a self-directed journey into a week of wild invention. Working independently, participants will gain insight to the creative writing process, with opportunities to learn from an extraordinary group of dedicated instructors, and to interact with a community of peers who share their love of writing and social inquiry. Enroll and participate in one of two writing packages outlined below.

   • Craft Package: $400.00
   • Write-along Package: $200.00

Craft Package: Craft Sessions + Writer's Life Talks + Write-alongs

The Craft Package includes virtual electives, self-guided writing prompts, 8 contact hours with Instructors, and access to a virtual community. With this package participants will meet and interact with peers in five virtual Craft Sessions over five days; finding opportunity to write together and share questions and insights in sessions led by our Creative Writing Instructors. In twice daily Write-alongs, participants will get inspiration for generating new work through emailed writing prompts and challenges, and we'll facilitate ways for participants to virtually share their work and ideas. Writer's Life talks, held three times during the week, take participants behind the scenes to explore Instructors' work and creative processes, igniting new ideas and providing invaluable writing tips.
