Enroll and participate in one of two writing packages that include Craft Sessions, Writer’s Life Talks, as well as asynchronous Virtual Write-alongs.
• Package #1 Writer’s Life Talks + Write-alongs: $200.00
• Package #2 Craft Sessions + Writer’s Life Talks + Write-alongs: $400.00
Craft Sessions: Each day, from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. EDT, participants have the opportunity to attend these one-hour electives where our Creative Writing Instructors go in-depth on a particular element of craft. Choosing five from a total of eight possible sessions, these live classes will also be made available as a recording 48 hours after they occur in order to accommodate different schedules. These morning craft sessions are where participants can expand their writing knowledge by exploring different topics and prompts from a variety of instructors. Each session is capped at 30 participants in order to allow for interaction with the instructor. See the list of craft sessions offered here.
Writer's Life Talks: During these talks, Creative Writing Instructors will share brief readings of their work, address common questions about being a writer and the process of writing, demystify the writing process, and give solid advice and tips. They will feature insights to the instructors’ writing inspiration, generative prompts, revision strategies, and even advice about publishing. There will be 3 of these live one-hour talks, from 4 - 5 p.m. EDT on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Writer’s Life Talks will also be made available as a recording 48 hours after they occur in order to accommodate different schedules.
Virtual Write-alongs: The Virtual Write-alongs are sets of writing prompts and challenges that guide participants through a daily writing practice. They are a chance for young writers to put into practice the lessons, techniques, and craft elements they have been learning throughout the week, or to simply write and explore on their own. The write-along materials will remain accessible to participants long after the program has ended.
