Reservations have now closed
Thank you for your interest in on-campus residence hall lodging for the 2019 UMass Commencement! Space has now reached capacity.
To be added to the waitlist, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, requested number of rooms, requested night(s) of stay, and requested room type (single or double occupancy). If space opens to accommodate your request we will contact you right away.
Staying in an on-campus residence hall is the most best way to be close to all Commencement activities! Our residence hall accommodations, available in single or double occupancy, provide casual comfort at affordable rates. All rooms will be located in a low-rise residence hall in the Southwest Residential Area, a convenient location to the various Commencement activities held throughout the weekend and the closest lodging option to the main Commencement ceremony held at McGuirk Stadium on Friday night.
Our residence halls are just minutes away from our award-winning Dining Commons, offer the most affordable rates in the area, and give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the college experience while celebrating your student's successful UMass career - we are confident that you will enjoy the unbeatable value and convenience. We hope to welcome you to our campus in May and wish your graduate all the best in the years to come!
Residence Hall Details
All rooms will be located in traditional-style, non-air conditioned, low-rise residence halls in the Southwest Residential Area. Each room will have a twin bed, desk, dresser, and linen pack (a pillow with case, two flat sheets, two towels, and a thin blanket) for each registered guest. Rooms are available in either single occupancy (one guest) or double occupancy (two guests). Shared, single-sex bathrooms - including individual, lockable shower stalls - are located on the floors, as are shared lounges. There are no rooms with a private bathroom and no rooms are equipped with additional appliances or amenities: rooms will not have microwaves, refrigerators, televisions, cots, or cribs. As there are a finite number of accessible and lower level rooms available, we encourage guests with special housing requirements to complete a reservation early and detail all accessibility/accommodation needs during the online reservation process. Please keep in mind that these are traditional residence hall rooms, just like those that your graduate may have lived in during their time at UMass: these are not hotel rooms!
Guests may reserve a room for Friday night, checking-out on Saturday morning, or may reserve a room for both Friday and Saturday nights, checking-out Sunday morning. Rooms are not available for Thursday night or for Saturday night only.
Reservations will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, April 5, or until space fills. We anticipate rooms will fill by mid-March, so early reservations are strongly encouraged. Room reservations are non-refundable: please read through all of the information provided in the tabs above before making a reservation.
· Single Occupancy Room (accommodates one guest): $99.00/night
· Double Occupancy Room (accommodates two guests): $99.00/night
Completing a Reservation
Reservations are only accepted online and full payment is required to secure your booking. Click Register Now above to complete your reservation. During the reservation process you will select your room type and dates of stay. You will be able to reserve multiple rooms by providing the names of each guest in your party. All rooms reserved under the same account will be placed as close together as possible in the same residence hall, as space permits. After you select your rooms you will be required to submit payment by credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express) using our secure online gateway. If payment is not received in full your reservation will be considered incomplete and will be subject to cancellation.
Space is limited and reservations will only be accepted as space permits, so we recommend making your reservation early. At this time we anticipate space will fill by mid-March. Once space has filled this page will be updated accordingly. Room reservations are non-refundable: please read through all of the information provided in the tabs above before completing a reservation.
During the reservation process you will be able to reserve complimentary parking passes for yourself and the guests in your party, valid for the large lot located across the street from the Southwest Residential Area (Lot 22). These passes will be mailed out in the spring and must be displayed on your dashboard upon your arrival to campus in order to gain entrance to this reserved lot. We recommend reviewing the "Traveling to Campus" and "Parking" tabs above to learn more. Additional parking and arrival details will be sent via email and mail to the main contact of each reservation as Commencement weekend approaches.
